About the data. Current ratings, federation, gender, and birth year are from the official FIDE standard rating list. Peak rating, 10-year history, and playstyle radar are statistical estimates derived from rating, age, and a deterministic per-player model; well-known peaks (Carlsen 2882, Kasparov 2851, Fischer 2785, Tal 2705, etc.) are hard-coded. Deceased GM records and historical federations (Soviet Union, Yugoslavia, Czechoslovakia, West/East Germany) are sourced from the Wikipedia List of chess grandmasters. Country of birth is sourced from Wikipedia/Wikidata birth-place records where available; it is left blank rather than assumed from current federation when no reliable birth-place data exists.
